Guided Tours of the Marx Memorial Library

The Marx Memorial Library has opened its doors to guided tours of its historic building. This is an exciting opportunity to explore historic Marx House, view our collections and find out more about our history.

Explore the building’s historic vaults; visit the room where Lenin worked in exile 1902-3 and have a peek at our displays including Mineworkers’ plates and the original 1938 International Brigade British Battalion banner.  At the heart of the British Labour movement for over eighty years, the Library has a fascinating story to tell.

Tours are held twice weekly on Tuesday and Thursday at 1pm. £5/£3 unwaged.
